BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS STREET DEPARTMENT
CITY-WIDE CLEANUP WEEK

Each year one week in April is designated as City Wide Clean-up Week. The Board of Public Works Street Department provides large item pick-up at specific areas throughout the city during the Monday through Friday schedule. The pick-ups are limited to residential properties only, no commercial, and are limited to one truck load per residence. The clean-up is for large heavy items only, i.e. furniture, stoves, refrigerators, water headers, etc. All of white goods will be recycled. No brush, logs, leaves, tree stumps, grass, garbage, tires, ashes, paint, chemicals, lumber, wood pallets, drywall or shingles will be taken. Trash/burn barrels must be empty. The employees must be able to visually determine what the item is—nothing bagged.
